“A weekend of gastronomic
delights, culinary training, kitchen aerobics
(kneading and pounding dough), laughter and
kinship, in small towns nestled in the Sabine
mountains – that’s what eight of
us did on February 3 and 4. We signed up with
Italytur for two days of cooking and eating.
Little did we realize how much we would learn,
how much fun we would have – and how much
we would eat!….”
“For all of us,
this weekend was fantastic. Our Italytur host,
Susan, was absolutely terrific, from arranging
a first-rate, unparalleled weekend, to joining
us in all our activities and laughter, as was
her husband, Bruno, who also was molto simpatico.
To the owners, chefs, workers at the restaurants
who so kindly let us share in their knowledge;
and to the owners of the wine store and the
olive pressing factory, who taught us about
the nectars of the gods: wine and olive oil,
we send our most heartfelt thanks. And after
we digest these tens of thousands of calories,
we all plan to join in another weekend!”
notes about the weekend from Kathleen.
